Challenge / Scope

As part of the hotels infrastructure project to enable it to generate its own chilled water supplies for the AC System, we provided the electrical services and BMS cabling to enable the operation of the plant required.

Works Included

We made alterations to the main LV panel to allow for new outgoers to supply the 4no chillers on the roof @80A TPN CW MCCBs, Trip units and individual metering connected to the existing BMS. Installation of the supplies to the chillers saw our engineers winching the cables from the basement to the roof level …. with 11 floors in-between. It was a tricky route, which included a bespoke steel structure designed and installed at roof level to complete works.

Benefits to the client

Working with a can-do attitude was key to the success of this project. There were many changes throughout the project, which were fully costed and managed which enabled the client to remain in control of the budget while the installation progressed at pace and the hotel could remain open to guests.
